What advantages will I gain if I use Bogart Racing Wheels?
One of the best ways to gain performance is by removing weight. While removing static weight will help, there is truly no comparison to removing rotating, or un-sprung, weight. While every application is different, we have seen improvements by as much as 2 tenths in 5.0 liter Mustangs, and almost a full second in normally aspirated Hondas by switching to Bogart Racing Wheels.

Why are Bogart Racing Wheels not intended for street use?
Because we manufacture Bogart Racing Wheels for a specific application (racing), we remove as much mass (weight) as possible, while maintaining enough structural integrity to be sure that Bogart Racing Wheels will survive through their intended purpose.

Can Bogart Racing Wheels build a wheel that will fit my car?
Bogart Racing Wheels manufactures wheels in sizes ranging from 13" to 17" in diameter and from 2" to 20"+ wide. If you have a specific wheel question, please go to the Consultant's Corner and answer all necessary questions.

Will Bogart Racing Wheels clear my brakes?
Bogart Racing Wheels have been able to fit most applications. However, we still want to be sure we can fit your needs before we build your wheels. Please click here to see a diagram with the measurements we will need.

Can Bogart Racing Wheels repair my wheels if they get damaged?
Bogart Racing Wheels can often repair wheels that are damaged. We also have replacement parts for many after-market wheels. However, we will need to see any wheels that are in question. Please do not call to ask about repairing wheels. Instead, ship your wheels to:

Bogart Racing Wheels
315 South 57th Dr.
Phoenix, Az. 85043.

Be sure to include your name, address and phone number with your wheels.

Why can't my wheels ship in 1-2 days?
Because Bogart Racing Wheels builds custom wheels that encompass so many styles, sizes and bolt patterns , it is impossible to keep all these completed wheels in stock. However, we do try to keep some of our more popular styles and sizes in stock.

What happens if I get my wheels and they don't fit?
When you receive your Bogart racing wheels you need to check fitment on the car before you mount tires on your wheels. If the wheels were built to your specifications and they don't fit, you may be able to return them for a 25% restocking fee (depending on size, backspace, style, etc.) However, we will not accept wheels back for any reason that have been mounted.

Do I need to use special lug nuts?
Yes. All of our racing wheels require a specific type of lug nut. They are available from us or you may purchase them from many race shops and auto parts stores. If you will be purchasing them from some place other than Bogart Racing Wheels, be sure to ask us what size and style lug nut you will need.

Do I have to use tubes in my wheels
No. While some will choose to use inner tubes, Bogart Racing wheels are guaranteed leak free. This allows you to not use inner tubes, again decreasing rotating, or un-sprung, weight.

How do I care for the finish on Bogart Racing Wheels?
The finish on Bogart Racing Wheels is achieved from custom show polishing the aluminum halves. There is no coating on our wheels. However, with regular maintenance the show appearance will remain for some time. If a wheel should require polishing, a non-abrasive polish will work to keep the appearance. We recommend Auto-Sol Polish or Maguire's Mirror Bright Polish.

Do I have to buy from Bogart Racing Wheels, or can I buy them from my local race shop?
You can do either. We have many dealers throughout the United States (see links). If your local race shop does not currently sell Bogart Racing Wheels, tell them to give us a call so that we may set them up as a dealer.

What are some safety issues I should be aware of?
All wheels and accessories are for racing only. They are not intended for street, road or highway use. They should not be used on race cars being towed. They are to be used only on track, courses, or strips designated for racing only. They should be used for their intended purpose (i.e. road race wheels for road racing only, drag race wheels for drag racing wheels only, etc.)

Never inflate tires higher than recommended tire pressure.

Rim bolt torque settings are 11ft. lbs. For 5/16 inch and 5ft. lbs. For ¼ inch.

Never attempt to force a misaligned tire onto a wheel with high air pressure. This can lead to wheel damage, serious injury or death, and is just plain stupid.

Clean wheel mounting surface on the brake drum or hub.

File off any burrs or sharp edges. Lug nut torque settings are as follows:
 Stud  7/16"  12mm   ½"  14mm
 Ft. lbs.   55-65  70-80  75-85   85-95

Check torque settings on wheels often. If they have loosened, increase the torque.

THIS IS JUST A PARTIAL SAFETY LIST. ALWAYS EXERCISE GOOD JUDGEMENT AND COMMON SENSE WHEN USING ANY RACING COMPONENT.
